#Knickstape Invades Houston? Who will rise at All-Star Weekend for the Knicks?

The Knicks just finished the Piston 102-87 in London as Iman Shumpert made his return in style. Shumpert impressed in his 14 minutes of play. The Knicks will fly back to London, and prepare for Monday's game against the Nets at MSG. Before then TNT will announce the 2013 NBA All-Star starters for each conference. Melo is a lock for the All-Star game, and it looks like KG will join him in Houston as a part of the Eastern Conference starting line-up.

Will anybody from the Knicks join Melo in the game? The Knicks have had Amar'e and Melo play in the game solo the last two seasons, and outside of a David Lee appearance nobody has represented the Knicks in the All-Star Game. Tyson Chandler deserves a spot, but will he get it. I believe he gets in, but what hurts Tyson is he isn't exciting. Josh Smith can put on a show, and having Bosh with Wade and James is fun for some. Brook Lopez represents a change from Dwight Howard as the East top center. So Tyson has to get in over some of these guys.

Who else can join Melo and/or Tyson Chandler in the All-Star Game? J.R. Smith? I know what you are thinking, "J.R. Smith? Really?" Yes, really. Smith has been one of the best Sixth Men in the league, and the All-Star game is about putting on a show, and boy can J.R. Smith put on a show. Seeing J.R. Smith throwing down dunks through out the game would be a sight to see.

Don't worry, NBA All-Star weekend Saturday should feature several Knick players. First, Steve Novak should be in the 3-Point Contest, and knowing Novak he would be the favorite to win it. We have seen Nate Robinson in the Dunk Contest, but James White can take the Dunk Contest to a whole new level. "Flight" White might be the best dunker in the league as Kevin Durant has voiced support of White's dunking skills on Twitter.

Anthony, Chandler, Smith, Novak, White, and a possible Mike Woodson sighting as coach can excite Knicks fans this All-Star Weekend in Houston, Texas.

J.R. Smith Dunk of the Year!

One of the sickest dunks that I have seen in a long time.
J.R. Smith should be the leading candidate for Sixth Man of the Year.

Amar'e returns, Knicks winning ways do not.

Amar'e Stoudemire made his season debut tonight against Portland, and looked like a guy who was playing his first game. Amar'e was not the only Knick who struggled, outside of Melo and JR Smith, nobody else stepped up. Once again the Knicks do not show up in the first half as they were sluggish and once again played very little defense. Jason Kidd can not stop anybody to save his life, and it is frustrating to watch him play. What does Chris Copeland have to do to play? Novak can not hit a three yet he still finds a way to play over Copeland. This team is going to go downhill fast without Raymond Felton and Iman Shumpert. They can not beat teams with the effort they are playing with now. Melo keeps on scoring and has been the Knicks saving grace all season long. Blaming Amar'e Stoudemire is going to become popular in the upcoming week, but it is not going to be fair or justified. The Knicks issues are that they are struggling to find a way to stop opposing guards. Nor do they play defense with intensity for a complete game. Another Knick killer is missed free throws as they leave key points at the free throw line. The Knicks defense has it moments, but opposing teams are able to make runs that kill the Knicks. At this point the Spurs look like they will come into MSG and win. The Knicks have to beat the Magic and Celtics but that is easier said then done at this point for the Knicks.

No doubt about it! Melo & rest of the Knicks are the kings of New York.

The Nets and Knicks played for the third time this season tonight (first game at MSG) and the Knicks prevailed with a fourteen point victory as they step up the defensive intensity in the second half. Entering the season many people in and outside of New York City picked the Nets as New York's best team. Instead the Knicks have flipped the script and like the Clippers in LA it seems impossible to find people in their respective cities picking the other team as the cities best. Question came about who is the best player, coach, center, bench, etc. As of right now the answers are Melo, Woodson, Chandler, toss up, and as for best team KNICKS!

The Nets had high hopes entering the season, but they have lost eight out of their last ten games. Williams and Johnson are not the league's best backcourt, they are Brooklyn's backcourt, but not even close to being the league's best. Avery Johnson was picked by many to be coach of the year, but now it looks like he will be lucky to make it to the end of the season as Nets' coach.

Amar'e Stoudemire is set to return soon, and his impact on the Knicks will be huge. Outside of Tyson Chandler the Knicks lack healthy bigs. Rasheed Wallace has been in and out of the lineup, and Camby has no effect on the team this season. Amar'e can provide points in the paint, and much needed rebounding. Melo has been playing like a MVP, and Amar'e could be the league's best bench player to go along with possible coach of the year Mike Woodson.

The Knicks play the Lakers on Christmas Day on ABC. I am looking foward to see how the Knicks play on the road, and if the Knicks can keep this pace up for the rest of the season they will be a legit contender in the East. Tonight's game showed us the Knicks are the best team in New York. Now are they the best team in the Eastern Conference?

Undefeated at MSG!

The Knicks finished off the Cavs tonight, and are now 10-0 at home this season. Kyrie Irving put on a show against the Knicks at MSG as he caught fire in the 4th quarter. Irving finshed the game with and the Knicks next two games will be against noteable point guards Jeremy Lin and Deron Williams. The Knicks lost the the Rockets earlier on in the season, and the Knicks have split their first two matchups at the Barclays Center against the Nets. Most will say that they will lose one of these games, and maybe they will. If Melo plays that Knicks could win both, but if he doesn't play in either they could lose both.

Leave your thoughts on when the Knicks will suffer their first home lost.

Melo, Knicks defeat Nets at the Barclay's Center in dramatic fashion.

Wow! What a game between the Knicks and Nets. Carmelo Anthony put on a show along side JR Smith and Jason Kidd. As for the Nets Blatche and Williams led the way in a game that came down to the wire. The Knicks got of to a slow start as they fell behind by 17 points. The Knicks couldn't have gotten off to a slower start, but their great 3 point shooting not only kept them in the game it gave the the dramatic come from behind win.

Jason Kidd did not play against the Nets the first time these two teams played, and tonight he proved why he is one of the more important players on the Knicks team. Kidd made 6 three pointers including the game winner with 23 seconds to go in the game. Another key for the Knicks comeback was their defensive rotations tightened up, and force the Nets to take difficult shots.

Next time these two teams play it will be on December 19th on ESPN. If the first two games show us anything is that these games are much watch games, and can we please get these teams to play against each other in the playoffs!

Knicks Weekly Recap: Knicks bunce back after to falling to the Nets.

The New York Knicks came up short in an overtime loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday, but they finished up the rest of the week with wins over the Bucks and Wizards. On Sunday they beat the Suns at MSG to add on to their undefeated start at home. The Knicks are currently in first place in the Atlantic Division with a 12-4 record. Pablo Prigioni has looked very good in the absence of Jason Kidd, who should hopefully be back next week, and it is good to see Steve Novak making his three pointers. Carmelo Anthony has been great, and outside of the Nets game Raymond Felton has been very good this week. JR Smith struggled through out the week besides the Wizards game.It was also fun to watch Rasheed Wallace get ejected in the Suns game which lead to Chris Copeland making an impact during the game.

(Tyson Chandler vs. Nets)

Player of the Week....Tyson Chandler. Melo could be "Player of the Week" every single week, but I am going to go with Tyson Chandler this week. Tyson has been great with his rebounding and defense as always, but Tyson has also been able to help the Knicks on the offensive end with his scoring. Tyson scored a career high twenty-eight points. To go along with his twenty-eight points, Tyson scored 17 points against the Bucks. Tyson finished the week scoring in double figures in every game, and had three double-doubles.

Up Next:  @ Bobcats on Wednesday, @ Heat on Thursday, @ Bulls on Saturday, and home vs. Nuggets on Sunday.

Comment below on who should be the Knick of the week, and what do you expect from the Knicks this upcoming week.
